We will tour the Computer Aided Manufacturing and Industrial Maintenance programs at Texas State Technical College in Marshall, Texas. Among the 14 technical programs that students can study at Texas State Technical College in Marshall are Industrial Maintenance Machinist and Computer Aided Manufacturing. The Industrial Maintenance Machinist program has more than 60 students learning about electrical theory, blueprints, hydraulics, troubleshooting and commercial wiring. Students can also earn 608 HVAC certification for handling refrigerants. Graduates can work on electrical, mechanical and fluid power systems with their Associate of Applied Science degree in Industrial Maintenance – Electrical Specialization or Certificate 2 in Industrial Maintenance Mechanic – Electrical. Students can earn an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Aided Manufacturing and certificates in Computer Aided Manufacturing. Some of the skills students learn include mechanical drafting, welding metallurgy and computer aided drafting. Graduates can go on to be machinists, tool programmers and computer-controlled machine tool operators.
