12th Annual SME Student Presentation Competition

Engineering students from Eastern Washington University, Gonzaga University, and University of Idaho will be making technical presentations and competing for cash prizes. Each student will give a 10-minute presentation on a manufacturing related subject. Prizes will be $500 for first place winner, $400 for second place, and $300 for third place; the three runners-up will each receive $100.
 
Senior members of Chapter 248 will judge the presentations for manufacturing relevance, technical content, technical knowledge, presentation skills, and adherence to the time limit.

This is a great opportunity to support these students and programs as well as be part of a fun evening. Please plan on attending. A dinner will precede the competition.

Presentations will begin at approximately 6:45 p.m.

  • Penne pasta tossed with roasted yellow squash, zucchini, and mushrooms in a light pesto cream sauce
  • Fresh garlic bread sticks

Students: $5
Student contestants: Free

Please register by Thursday, April 12, 2018. Food is prepared and paid for in advance. Anyone registered will be expected to pay if unable to attend.
