Advex Corp. is a premier metal fabrication company founded in Virginia in 1969.  Over the last 49 years, Advex has grown to an organization employing an average of 120 workers that provides precision machining, fabricating, non-destructive testing and marine and industrial services to the defense industry & commercial customers.  Located in Hampton, Virginia, our facilities occupy approximately 11 acres of land accommodating approximately 102,000 square feet of building area.

Our highly skilled personnel possess the capability to perform various types of machining operations for the build to print items (rapid prototypes). This is proven by numerous successful projects that involve precise machining operations to include milling, turning and wire EDM operations. This is complemented by our quality inspection system that utilizes the latest software with a coordinate measurement machine (CMM) and portable measuring arm. We feature the ability to perform large multi-axis milling on components up to 40’ in length and 15’ in height, weighing as much as 60 tons.

Advex maintains two separate departments for fabrication, a Light Fabrication Department (material thicknesses of 3/8” and thinner) and a Heavy Fabrication Department (material thicknesses of ¼” and greater and individual component weights in excess of 20 tons). Our personnel possesses the core skills to accomplish both routine fabrications as well as complex weldments requiring post-machining and critical non-destructive examination.
