Company Profile:
The Northeast Iowa Food Bank serves 16 counties from the Waterloo distribution facility. They provide food to 5800 different people weekly through 200 food pantries, soup kitchens, schools, churches, and nonprofit groups. In 2015 they distributed 7 million pounds of food.
Presentation:
Mike Knipp, Development Director - Mike has been with the food bank for just over 2 years. His primary responsibility is awareness and connecting individuals, businesses and churches to the Food Bank through public speaking engagements, tours of the Food Bank and face to face conversations on ways people can be involved in the Food Bank through volunteering, food/fund raising events and awareness building functions. Mike’s presentation will cover the story of how the Food Bank started in Black Hawk County and the Food Bank’s mission, vision, and function.
