Applicants Needed For SME International Director/Member Council Nominating Committee

SME is currently seeking applicants for its International Director/Member Council Nominating Committee. This committee identifies, evaluates and nominates candidates for the SME Member Council and SME Board of Directors. Potential members must have many of the qualities and capabilities of the directors and council reps they are responsible for nominating. The strength of SME depends on evaluations and selections made by this committee and its members. 

Important characteristics:

• Knowledge of SME mission, vision, purpose, strategies and structure
• Keen interest in the health, wellbeing and future of SME and the manufacturing profession 
• Able to work as a committee member for the good of the Society, not as an advocate for a particular chapter  

Participation Requirements:

• Actively participate in all meetings, orientation session and a final meeting to select nominees

Timeframe:

• Sept. 1 through Aug. 31, which corresponds with the annual election cycle

Volunteer Hours:

• Approx. 20 hours

Submission Deadline:

• June 30
