Volunteers Needed For Champions Program

As the world continues to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic, SME wants to continue to ensure our members are able to have virtual engagement/interactions with other members. To assist with this, we're seeking volunteers to participate in our SME Connect Champions Program.

This program offers an opportunity for SME members to increase their involvement, help improve our virtual member experiences, increase the collective knowledge and showcase the industry expertise of our membership, and earn recognition for your efforts.  

Benefits of the program:
  • Members helping members offer solutions to technical questions, provide information or share career advice
  • Provide input into content and feature content ideas
  • Grow the collective and searchable manufacturing knowledge
  • Receive exclusive SME-branded recognition items
  • Champions badge displayed in your member profile on SME Connect
Requirements:
  • Current SME membership
  • Regularly participate in discussion forum topics (1-2 times per week)
  • Post discussions
  • Reply to threads 
By applying and being accepted into this program, a Champion agrees to:
  • Help answer questions posted by other members on their assigned pages  
  • Help welcome new members into SME Connect
  • Share digital content from SME Connect on personal external pages (i.e., LinkedIn) to drive traffic and engagement back to the site
  • Regularly communicate with the SME Connect community manager and provide insight/feedback
Time commitment:  
  • 1 to 3 hours per month
