Abstract
| The VEX Robotics Design System offers students an exciting platform for learning about areas rich with career opportunities spanning science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) https://www.vexrobotics.com/. In this competition, a team must design, build, and code a robot under multiple specific design criteria to best complete a game-based engineering challenge. The team must create a robot that can pick up 4 pound mobile goals and stack yellow cones onto them. The team must then score these mobile goals into multiple zones. | |
| VEX robotics club at the California Academy of Math and Science school has built an efficient robot able to stack cones about 5 feet high. The team 687A has won 2 Tournament Champion awards, 2 Design Awards, and 1 Excellence Award. 687D has won 5 Design Awards. 687E has won 2 Excellence Awards. During this technology talk, a team of four students from California Academy of Math and Science school will speak as well as showcase their work. |
