The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) South LA/ Orange County Chapter 233 conducted the fourth technology talk event for the year 2021 on Friday, April 23rd, from 2 PM to 3 PM (PST). The event was a virtual workshop conducted via the Zoom platform. The topic for the workshop was ‘Leadership for Manufacturing Professionals: Working with Individuals’ presented by Dale Carnegie of Orange County (https://ocdalecarnegie.com/). The workshop was open to all the members of SME Chapter 233, which includes industry professionals, students, educators, researchers, and other manufacturing enthusiasts in the SoCal region.
The speaker for the workshop was Oscar Toscano, Vice-President, Dale Carnegie of Orange County. Dr. Sagil James (Chair, SME Chapter 233) was the host and coordinated the event. This was a highly interactive workshop focusing on equipping the manufacturing professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead individuals/organizations to new levels of effectiveness. Manufacturing professionals communicate today with different tools and more incredible speed than in the past. Still, Dale Carnegie’s advice on communicating, leading, and working efficiently remains priceless across the ages. A total of 20 people attended this workshop.
