About this Event

The presentation will cover process flow for post printing (debinding & sintering), motivation for design rules, suitable applications, and many others.

 

James Pitts is the application technology manager within the metals systems group of BASF 3D Printing Solutions, Forward AM. His current focus is the development and optimization of metal filament additive manufacturing materials and systems. As an advanced application engineer, he focused on additive and subtractive manufacturing systems including direct energy deposition, 3 & 5 axis CNC machining, and rotary ultrasonic machining. While earning his MSc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, his research focused on the parametric optimization of rotary ultrasonic machining for the production of Zerodur glass-ceramic optical and structural components.
