SME Southern Piedmont Chapter 182 announces our first manufacturing facility tour of 2023.
The tour will be at CCL Label 4000 Westinghouse Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28273 on Wednesday March 8th.

Networking to start at 5:30pm with snacks and tour to start at 6pm and finish at 7:30pm.
The CCL Label facility is a manufacturer of pressure sensitive labels of various materials using roll to roll web presses. The group will see a fleet of 18 printing presses utilizing various print technologies to produce labels. We will walk you through a day in the life of a label, from the graphics preparation to all the supporting processes that enable the presses to transform film, paper, and ink to various shapes and product brand identifiers. All attendees will be impressed with the amount of STEM disciplines that are needed to produce labels.
Safety notes, safety glasses not needed, all need to wear closed toe shoes, ear protection will be provided.
