Giving Tuesday Is Nov. 27: Please Help Support The SME Education Foundation

The SME Education Foundation supports and serves educators, students and communities. From scholarships available across the country to the SME PRIME Schools initiative, you can help sustain this commitment.

Manufacturing is becoming increasingly connected, automated and intelligent, marking a new industrial revolution. Technology-driven, advanced manufacturing supports 13 million jobs in the U.S., assuring economic stability and opportunity — including opportunities for students.

We work with industry partners to acquire industry-relevant equipment, and design technological and manufacturing curricula offerings to prepare high schools students for skilled career pathways.

The SME Education Foundation’s scholarships offer students a powerful reason to choose a manufacturing-focused education. The generosity of our many individual donors and corporate partners has enabled us to award scholarships attracting thousands of new students to manufacturing every year.

We award our scholarships annually, so students can reapply every year. Scholarships range from $1,000 to $6,000 and can be used for tuition, books or lab/course fees related to attaining a technical or engineering education. Eligible students include high school seniors, undergraduates and graduate students pursuing degrees in advanced manufacturing and related fields at two and four-year colleges.

With your financial support, we can continue to award scholarships to deserving students and provide the necessary funding to support our unique SME PRIME initiative. This week, with Giving Tuesday in the national spotlight, please consider a donation to further the cause and strengthen the capability of the SME Education Foundation to serve young people.
