Power/clock spring design
Looking for needed information on how to designing a power spring.
What are the necessary dimensions required? Such as OD, ID Wire length, wire thickness, number of turns, input and output torque, pocket diameter.

Hello Howard!

A quick call to the fine folks at James Spring and Wire (610 644-3450) will help.  There are a variety of spring configurations and what is needed is unique to each type.

FYI, the founder is the inventor of the Slinky spring toy.
