Professor Zhu,
I'm glad to hear that, and also that you are effectively leveraging the network that comes with SME membership. Dan and Charlotte are both amazing, and I know your team will get great value from touring their facilities. The ownership of the forging operation is excited to meet tomorrow regarding your remaining availability on July 16th, and I will follow up with you soon after via email.
Thank you for your leadership.
Best Regards,
Jacob Rahdarian, CMfgE

Dear Jacob,
Thank you so much for the support! President Dan at ARC Specialties has kindly agreed to host our teachers on June 18. General Manage Frank at Master Flo has kindly agreed to host us on June 25. Charlotte at re3D has kindly agreed to host us on July 2. Now we only need to find one manufacturing company to host us in the afternoon of July 16, 2021.
We will run this high school teacher program for at least three summers. It will be great to have more contacts because next year we will look for four more companies to visit!

Professor Zhu,
I just spoke to ownership of one of the Gulf Coast's largest forging operations. As they happen to be a client, we will discuss at next Friday's meeting whether such a trip will be permitted based on various safety protocol and requirements. There are few things in manufacturing more incredible to behold than witnessing an open-die (or closed-die) forging operation firsthand.
Another couple members of our SME Houston community come to mind, such as president of a very well-known machine tool distributor, in addition to the owner of an advanced automation company, whose facility makes for an amazingly insightful tour, and almost always entails live demonstrations of robots in action!
As we've recently connected via email, I will be in touch soon regarding some local area facilities that would be conducive to an effective learning environment for your team/guests.
Thank you for being a valued member of SME Houston Chapter 029, and for your rich contributions at the virtual plant tour at re:3D earlier this month!
