Just curious, since this is oilfield country, how many members actively work with CNC Programming? Do you program manually or use a CAM package? If you use a CAM solution, what is your favorite system?
My first CAD/CAM system was Compact II, then I migrated to Pathtrace and Esprit. I had designed injection molds using Pro-E and MoldFlow until about 1998 and switched over to Solidworks. Pro-E was expensive and difficult for me to design, too many options and choices when creating or re-designing a product. I have been teaching CAM at Southern Tech since 2012, mostly Fusion 360, HSMWorks and MasterCam. Students really pickup how to use Fusion 360 and it's CAM function quickly.
