New technologies are changing the way we build things, connecting the material and physical world to the digital, virtual and cyber ones. As the steward of Canada’s Advanced Manufacturing Supercluster, NGen funds industry-led projects that drive the integration of new technologies in advanced manufacturing across the country, for companies big and small. The goal is to develop world-leading advanced manufacturing capabilities in Canada.

Next Generation Manufacturing Canada (NGen) is an industry-led, not-for-profit organization dedicated to building next generation manufacturing capabilities nationally. Our mission is to help Canadian companies become global leaders in the application of leading technologies to manufacturing products and/or processes.

NGen projects and programs are aimed at driving greater technology development and technology adoption in Canadian manufacturing. To further support cluster growth, we also use data to increase connections and collaboration across the Canadian advanced manufacturing network.

Bridget Bohan is NGen’s Director of Business Development and will describe how NGen works, from project opportunities to its Supercluster database that will accelerate collaboration across Canadian manufacturing. Bridget brings over 25 years of in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in successfully building her own businesses, twice in Canada as well as with a machine learning start-up in the UK. And having consulted for a small UK manufacturer, she is well-aware of the common challenges facing manufacturers everywhere as they navigate the shift to advanced manufacturing.

Join SME Toronto Chapter 26 on the evening of Thursday, April 25th, to learn from Bridget Bohan of NGen, all about the Advanced Manufacturing Supercluster here in Southern Ontario. Click the 'More Details' link below for the Eventbrite registration link.
