SME Chapter 354 Annual Family Picnic

Welcome back everyone to the “new normal”! In order to get back into the groove, we’ll start with one of our most popular events, the machine gun shoot at Temperature Processing’s firing range.

Temperature Processing is at 10477 Weld County Road 7, near the intersection of I-25 and Hwy 119.

The facility is located about ¼ mile west of County Road 7, at the end of a private road. Continue past the facility on the dirt road until you see the picnic grove/firing range on the left (1/2 mile).

We will try to repeat the success of the previous picnics.  Phoenix Weaponry is a precision machine shop specializing in the manufacture of custom weapons.  The shop was started in 2014 by Aaron Cayce to utilize his 26 years of machining/manufacturing experience.

Aaron will again let us use some of his weapons at the range.  There will be a per clip charge for the use of each weapon, provided we get a minimum of two people to sign up for a particular gun. (See attached list).   Phoenix will have people there for training and to act as Range Officers.

There will be a $50.00 entrance fee that includes the Barbeque and one clip for either the Sten 9mm, PPS43 9mm or the Glock 18 9mm.

The fee for those who do not want to fire any of the guns provided by Phoenix but want to bring their own guns will be $25.00 that includes the Barbeque.  Please let us know what weapons you will be bringing if you plan to bring your own guns when you make your reservation.  Remember that not only are the Phoenix people trained Range Officers, but experienced gunsmiths that can answer any questions you may have about your own guns.
