Welcome to Chapter 22, proudly serving York County and South Central Pennsylvania. We’re on a journey of revitalization and expansion, but our mission remains the same: to educate and showcase our vibrant manufacturing community.
We extend a warm invitation to all individuals in the sector across the region to join us and help expand our local network of industry professionals, provide opportunities to share best practices, and get behind-the-scenes access at a variety of manufacturers.
We are a dedicated network of peers focused on strengthening our industry through shared knowledge, professional development, and a commitment to advancing manufacturing in our region. Together, we can design a brighter future for our industry and communities.
Why We Exist
1. Building Connection in Manufacturing Our chapter is a hub for engineers and other manufacturing professionals to connect with others in the field. We create local spaces — both in-person and virtual — where members can exchange ideas, share solutions to industry challenges, and establish professional connections.
2. Fostering Continuous Learning and Growth We believe that ongoing education is essential to staying competitive in manufacturing. Our chapter will offer workshops, tours, and access to SME’s national resources to support members’ professional development.
3. Creating Pathways for Knowledge Sharing
We bring together engineers, technicians, educators, and students to collaborate and learn from one another, creating a dynamic environment where ideas flow and innovation thrives.
4. Strengthening Regional Industry and Workforce
As a chapter, we are committed to supporting a strong, skilled manufacturing workforce locally. We engage in outreach efforts with educational institutions, host career events, and advocate for training programs that develop the next generation of manufacturers. By fostering professional growth, we contribute to the resilience and growth of our regional manufacturing sector.
We strive to be more than a membership organization — we want to create a community where manufacturing professionals can find the resources, support, and connections they need to succeed.
