Summary

Manufacturing and design organizations are constantly challenged by the high demands of consumers and businesses alike, especially with the switch to remote work environments this past year. When it comes to deploying secure remote desktops and workstations for employees, full fidelity display performance for CAD workflows and security are a top requirements. Teradici PCoIP technology and Cloud Access Software, along with AMD GPU-partitioning in Microsoft Azure can provide remote CAD/CAM/CAE with graphic-heavy workflows the best performance, reliability and IP security.

There’s no question that emerging technologies such as architecture toolsets and BIM Files, Generative Design and Additive Manufacturing will evolve with the remote workstation in mind. How do firms build remote workstations capable of meeting these workflow expectations?

We'll be discussing:

  • 3D CAD/CAM/CAE software trends (simulation, visualization, modeling, design automation and BIM)
  • CAD/CAM remote desktop security and performance (display protocol considerations)
  • PCoIP technology
  • Teradici Cloud Access Software
  • Deployment of AMD virtual GPUs (vGPU) that can be partitioned (vGPU-P)
  • Cost savings, flexibility and more
  • Why the cloud and Microsoft Azure

Isidro Gonzalez manages the ecosystem that facilitates the adoption of Radeon Pro datacenter GPUs for cloud workloads. He has held product and market development roles throughout the VDI industry with Wyse, NEC, NComputing, NVIDIA and AMD. Isidro entered the VDI industry as the XP Embedded Product Manager for Wyse thin clients. It was the same month his youngest daughter entered the world. He feels it has never been more fun to be at the intersection of graphics and the cloud. His daughter knows she’s been raised by a VDI nerd, and will be leaving for college soon.
