SME's Greater Charleston No. 430 recently held its sixth-annual golf outing at The Golf Club at Wescott Plantation. The format was a Captain’s Choice Scramble. Prizes were awarded after the round for First and Second place, Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin. This friendly social event is staged to encourage fellowship among the local SME network. It brought together chapter members, industry, schools and the community.

According to Chapter Chair Dick Tiano, the event was a big success. Twenty-Two teams (82 people) participated, and the chapter raised $9,383 to support local schools in their First Lego League, First Robotics, Vex, STEM programs and our Chapter. Thank you to all of our sponsors, players and those who made donations. Without you, the event would not have been this successful.
