Summary /Objective: The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will support production activities, improvement of equipment and processes in a Lean Manufacturing environment. This individual will assist plant personnel to respond to and troubleshoot production machinery. Tasks include such items as equipment improvements, troubleshooting, specifying and justifying new equipment, installing equipment and assembly processes, continuously improving processes, ergonomics, performing and recommending preventative maintenance activities to prevent downtime. The position will report to the Manufacturing Engineer who will provide direction to the position.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Computer skills; Excel, Word, Power Point, PLCs
• Operation of tool room equipment helpful (lathes, grinders, drill press and mill)
• Experience in a printing environment is a plus
• Lean Manufacturing
• Electrical background
• Machine experience
• Set up and configure equipment
• Experience with machine electrical wiring
• Reliable, self-starter, who works with minimal supervision
• Willing to work in a team environment and lead when necessary
• Ability to multitask and maintain housekeeping and documentation requirements
• Excellent problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
• Must take pride in the finished product and be willing to go the ‘extra mile’

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Experience in a printing related manufacturing environment is a plus
• Machine maintenance background
• HS Diploma
• Associates or BS Degree a plus
• Lean Manufacturing experience a plus

Salary: $40,000.00 /year
